Bone mineral density (BMD) is an important indicator of musculoskeletal health in older adults, associated with aging and the risk of osteopenia and osteoporosis. Objective: To describe total bone mineral density in physically active older adult women according to age ranges. Materials and Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted. A total of 84 physically active older adult women from Temuco, Chile, participated and were classified into four age groups (61–80 years). BMD was assessed using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA). Results: The groups presented similar values of total BMD. The oldest group showed the lowest T-score, compatible with osteopenia. Conclusion: Stability of BMD was observed among the evaluated age groups, with a tendency toward lower bone values in the older participants.
